American VTuber Rosedoodle, also known as Rose, is making her way to Asia. With almost a decade on Twitch and over several years in the VTubing industry, Rosedoodle is an experienced virtual content creator who incorporates her chaotic and unhinged personality into her streams.
In 2015, Rosedoodle began streaming on Twitch, when VTubing was not a popular form of media. Initially a freelance illustrator, she extended her artistic talents into creating her own Live2D model completely from scratch in October 2018, when “debuts” weren’t really a thing in the virtual realm. Her persona, Rosedoodle, is a teal-haired, cat-sprout with a magical collar that allows her to maintain her human form. “Many people don’t know this, but the flower in my head is rooted into my skull; it’s literally what keeps me alive,” said Rosedoodle. When creating this model, she found her inspiration from a blue-haired Japanese VTuber who left a lasting impression on her and piqued her interest in VTubing. “I just kind of impulsively started one day and pinged my community, letting them know I’ve been overcome with anime-girl-itis,” enthusiastically stated Rosedoodle.
When it comes to streaming, Rosedoodle has a consistent schedule where she streams every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. EST (Eastern Standard Time) on Twitch. Her content is mainly centered around chat interaction, illustrations, character designs, and sometimes games, but you can always count on it to be inclusive and unpredictable. The Honeybuns, Rosedoodle’s supporters, are bee/bunny-like creatures that are mischievous and bratty, much like Rosedoodle herself. “They are so welcoming and even do tricks on command when they hear a bell or clicker to welcome new viewers,” said Rosedoodle. Ultimately, she prefers to have a community filled with adults, especially since she talks about mature topics such as mental health or sexual wellness. “I have a preference for having people who are open-minded, laid-back, goofy, and mischievous, and I just want to create an environment that people can call home,” stated Rosedoodle.
Outside of streaming, Rosedoodle still finds ways to interact with her community. She has an active presence on Discord, TikTok, Instagram, Twitter (X), and Bluesky. She makes sure to include her community in almost everything she does, whether that is interactive art or giveaways. “I mostly just interact with them on every platform that I use, because I feel like without them, there would be no point in this,” said Rosedoodle.
Rosedoodle is also a member of VCHIBAN, an indie VTuber group she formed along with her best friends Buffpup, AiCandii, and ShiaBun. Even though they all have their own careers, they collectively come together to produce podcasts, games, animations, and merchandise. In fact, they just released their second game, titled Stardust Skate, on Steam. Their mere existence proves that VTubing is more than just individuality; it is a collaborative artistry that creates family bonds.
Looking into the future, Rosedoodle hopes to step out of her comfort zone and familiarize herself with other creative outlets. For instance, she plans to draw more mascots, since it is one of her favorite things to do. Similarly, she wants to overcome her stage fright and record more song covers. “I really just want to be confident enough to say yes to things instead of being so hesitant. Aside from that, I just want to create things that make my community happy,” stated Rosedoodle.
