Her catlike design features dripping blood motifs, a shadow flame tail, and celestial elements. She calls herself a “tomboy girl failure,” embracing imperfections with pride. “Sometimes these characters seem a little bit too perfect, and I want Naomi to be more relatable, more like an antihero or villain-esque character,” Naomi explained.
Naomi made her VTubing debut on February 18, 2023, under the handle @Nyaomix_, after years of creating real-life content. Since then, she’s focused on building a close-knit community and producing engaging content. Her streams usually include one or two hours of chatting with fans followed by gameplay—often featuring titles like Marvel Rivals. Despite her busy schedule, she streams at least twice a week and stays active on Twitter and Discord.
“I’m very active on Discord and Twitter because I think it’s important for my supporters to have a space that feels like a home away from home. I host movie and anime nights for us to enjoy together,” she shared.
As she prepares to move to Korea in December, Naomi is working hard to grow her international presence. In a twist that surprised many, Naomi revealed that she served in the U.S. Navy and is half-Korean. “I think a lot of my fans will be surprised that I’m moving to Korea and switching my streaming platform to YouTube,” she said. Naomi is learning Korean, already speaks Chinese, and plans to learn Japanese to better connect with her global audience.
Naomi also highlighted the deep impact her fans have had on her journey. “They helped fund my entire new rig—it was $3,000. I cried on stream because I didn’t realize just how much everyone believed in me, and that inspired me to keep going,” she recalled.
The VTubing world has changed her not just as a creator, but as a person. “Through VTubing, I’ve met some of my lifelong friends.”
Looking ahead to the second half of the year, Naomi has big plans: she hopes to reach 10K Twitter followers, begin producing ASMR content, and explore cosplay. She’s also started a fitness journey to prepare for cosplay appearances. “Hopefully by the time I cosplay, I’ll have a six-pack for fans to look forward to,” she joked.
Bridging Eastern and Western fanbases, Naomi shared a heartfelt message:
